On Wednesday the 26th of June 2024 we lost one of life's great characters, Leigh Arlington. Leigh was the loving wife of Steve and mother to Sharntelle and Demi whilst being the formidable matriarch of the Marshland Service Centre. Woe betide anyone trying to pay late, open a credit account or get things done on the cheap! She could be a force of nature.
To celebrate her life and to give back a plan was formed to raise money for the Breast Cancer Now charity. Following the theme of 'the Calendar Girls' a photoshoot was planned at the garage to create a calendar and raise a few laughs in the process. Obviously, the best time to be outdoors with no clothes on is a wet and windy October afternoon but none the less food was cooked, cars were supplied, a bus and a tractor turned up and some brave souls bared all for charity.
Sharntelle organised everyone so that there was a shoot for each month and all the guys then stripped off and wandered around in their boots and dressing gowns ready to bare all on demand.
